Elegance and style do not depend on size and space. The perfectly small rooms should be clean and "inclusive", decorated in neutral colors and with the minimum number of furniture.
This does not mean it will be boring, because even in a limited space, you can create an interior space with character.
1. Do not restrict a small sofa
A small area does not mean it should be furnished with small furniture. A large corner or split sofa is much more efficient than a much smaller one. Very simple shapes and neutral colors will allow large furniture to fit perfectly into space and become an essential element of design.
2. More efficiently organized storage space
In a small living room for storage there is a rule, there are few spaces or nonexistent. "Compress" everything in the small room, using the walls from floor to ceiling, adding painting and other decoration already.
3. Add transparent elements
Coffee table and brown shelves made of glass or transparent plastic work very well in a small space and create the illusion of space.
4. Choose furniture without "arm"
The furniture without "arm" makes wonders in the small interiors. Armchairs and sofas without "arm" are the ideal choice for small lounges as space looks lighter but also lighter. For convenience you can fill them with beautiful pillows or tops.
5. Use "low" furniture
To create space in the room, use low furniture with simple and clean lines. In a room that does not look so empty by looking at it vertically, stick an image or an image on the wall, a narrow floor vase or a tall floor lamp.
6. Choose furniture with "legs"
Even the small legs make the furniture look simpler and will extend the space of a small room.
7. Use shelves
The "closed" shelves visually push the wall forward, and therefore can further reduce the size of the room. Therefore, in a small living room it is preferable to use shelves to avoid confusion and "visual noise".
8. The "work" of dark furniture
When you have a small living room it is preferable to avoid dark furniture, but there are ways to work. When there are bright colors throughout the living room, dark furniture gives the right balance in space and does not look bulky. Instead, they are able to deepen the room and thereby visually magnify it.
9. Do not forget the mirrors
Although the mirror is not always preferred for furniture, it is the surest way to help design a small space. Hang it behind the couch, or in front of the window to visually enlarge the room.
10. Going further
In a small living room you can place the furniture so that it "looks" towards the wall, but it can also make your space more discreet. Try to place furniture on the walls by using narrow tables, shelves or other furniture to store things for a sofa or chair.
